Coretta Scott King

I come to this news late: Coretta Scott King has died at age 78. May we carry on her mantle of racial justice and peace.

I know there's something about shooting the messenger here, but damn you have been on a roll for the last few days with this passing along terrible news about powerful, admirable women. What's the deal with that? Since I'm trying to start more magical thinking, I see no option but to hold you responsible for all of this bad news. So knock it off, already! ;)

Yes, I see your reasoning. Something bad happens. I report that something bad happens. Coincidence? Clearly not. It follows that I must have something to do with bad things happening.

At this rate, you're going to blame me for the Bush presidency.

Magical thinking is good, but logic is good, too.

Oh yeah, well then I assume you'll be blogging this too, huh?
