There's a play on in New York whose story is based on the letters between Simone de Beauvoir and her lover, the American author Nelson Algren. "Transatlantic Liason", by Fabrice Rozié, runs through early April. (Can I get to NYC before then? Will it be possible to get tickets after a favorable review in the NYT?) The review is accompanied by a photo of the actor who plays Beauvoir and bears a striking resemblance to her. To my knowledge, there isn't another fictional portrayal of Beauvoir in film or theater.
